BRUNSWICK — While it was not officially budgeted for when he took over as police chief June 3, Chief Brian Ohlin said a second K9 team was quickly moved to the front burner upon his appointment.
“I feel it’s a priority for a couple reasons,” Ohlin said this week. “There has been an increase in drug problems, primarily the uptick in opiate issues, and with two dogs we can provide broader coverage. And secondly, there is the community engagement aspect, with kids and schools.”
