THREE RIVERS, Mich. – What seemed to be a regular Wednesday afternoon for some turned into a busy afternoon for a police dog with the Three Rivers Police Department after securing two arrests through three separate incidents in just over two hours.
TRPD’s K9 unit Jake was called at approximately 12:37 p.m. to Strobel Road near Centreville-Constantinve Road in Lockport Township after Michigan Department of Corrections notified police of a damaged and believed to be discarded tether in a soy bean field. Within 15 minutes of arriving on scene, the discarded tether was located and discovered to have been cut and thrown into the field. The suspect involved is currently being investigated.
